To be considered for plastics/reconstructive surgery it is very important to quit smoking for at least 30 days prior to your surgery due to a higher risk of complications. If you currently smoke and are not willing to quit you would not be a candidate for surgery. Many surgeries also require a BMI of 33 or less. When calling to schedule, please use the BMI Calculator to figure your BMI as you may be asked your BMI upon scheduling.
