Hope for All Program

The Hope Program is a financial assistance program for those that have been devastated with the diagnosis of cancer. Program recipients do not need to be current patients of Compass Memorial Healthcare but do need to live within the hospital's service area.

The program started in October 2016. The initial description of the program was to financially help patients that had been diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2017, the program changed focus to help patients that are diagnosed with any form of cancer.

Applications are completed and reviewed by the hospital's Foundation Director. Once approved, patients are awarded up to $5,000 in financial support from the program. Funds may be used for any costs during the time of treatments (home payment, electric, gas, medical, etc.).

Funds from the program are raised through various events in the community, including Lavender Out events at all five local schools in the hospital's service area, 4-H club fund raising events, various business fundraising events and employee and community donations.

Butler's Bunch Cancer Support Group

The hospital's cancer support group, Butler's Bunch formed in November of 2017 because of this program and one recipient (Ross Butler's) insistence to have a local support group for those going through cancer and for their family members and support teams. The group meets monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at Compass Memorial Healthcare and is hosted by the Foundation Director.
