Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Under the general supervision of the laboratory director or manager, the laboratory assistant performs laboratory procedures in phlebotomy and in specimen processing. These procedures exclude any which are performed only by licensed personnel under state or federal regulations. This position will work Noon to 8:00 P.M.

Compass Memorial Healthcare is a critical access hospital that is fully equipped with the latest technology so we can improve the health of the community and patients we serve. We have an active ER, OR, Oncology and Med/Surg unit. CMH has 5 clinics within our service area, and we service 6 different nursing homes. CMH is staffed with great providers who live within the service area they serve, as well as visiting providers that choose to see their patients here.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Phlebotomist
a. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) preferred.
b. Experience as a phlebotomist drawing infant to geriatrics.
c. Medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred.
d. Moderate knowledge of medical terminology.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Lab Assistant
a. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) preferred.
b. Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
c. Experience as a phlebotomist drawing infant to geriatrics.
d. Moderate knowledge of medical terminology.
e. Prefer greater than 2 years of previous experience in a healthcare setting.
