Biography:

Laura Varo, MS/CCC-SLP received her Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. She continued her education and received her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from there as well.

Laura started working here full time at Compass Memorial Healthcare in the Spring of 2022 but has been treating patients for 16 years. She values her opportunity here at CMH because of the diverse population she gets to provide speech therapy services to. Laura has lived in this area for 6 years and has enjoyed being a part of the small-town community and atmosphere and looks forward to raising her family here.

Speech language pathologists (SLP’s) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
