The CMH Foundation exists to strengthen and sustain the hospital’s mission of providing remarkable healthcare that makes a difference in the well-being of the communities and patients we serve. Through donations, the Foundation helps fund advanced medical technology, facility upgrades, patient support services and research initiatives, enhancing care in ways traditional healthcare funding often cannot. In the year ahead the Foundation will focus on raising funds to implement Robotic Orthopedic Surgery at CMH. Those of us who live in rural communities deserve the best in healthcare, and Compass aims to provide just this.

Ways to Give

Regardless of their size or designation, your tax-deductible contributions help sustain our mission of service to our communities. There are many ways you can make a contribution to the Compass Memorial Healthcare Foundation. Some of the more popular options are listed below.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is a method of including charitable giving in your long-term financial plan. As a friend of the Compass Memorial Healthcare Foundation, your generosity can benefit the hospital as well as enhancing your future financial security. Every planned gift is unique and we wish to treat it as such.

Bequests

The most common form of planned giving is a gift through the donor's will. The donor may name the Compass Memorial Healthcare Foundation in their will for a specific amount or a percentage of their estate. Donations to the Foundation are eligible for tax credits, which may be passed on to your heirs.

Life Insurance

You may name Compass Memorial Healthcare Foundation as the beneficiary of your new or existing life insurance policy. By doing this, you may enjoy tax credits in your lifetime on your premiums or receive tax credits on the policy's cash value.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

Through these, donors can get income tax deductions and escape capital gains taxes. Many donors find this appealing through the process of retirement planning.

Memorial Contributions

Gifts to memorialize a loved one by serving the living can be given at any time and in any amount. When making your gift, please attach the name of the person you are honoring and the family contact name and address. We will responsively contact the family to share with them your thoughtfulness.

Electronic Bank Transfers

There are many advantages to using electronic bank transfers to make your gift to the Compass Memorial Healthcare Foundation. You never have to worry about a check getting lost or forgetting to mail the check; and best of all, it's safe and free. You can have any amount ($10 minimum) automatically deducted from your checking account or debited to a credit card.  There may be a fee added to your donation for charge card use.

Our Foundation events bring our communities together to support exceptional healthcare close to home. Every dollar raised helps enhance patient care, invest in advanced technology, and strengthen healthcare services across our communities.

The Foundation hosts events such as the Bulter's Bunch, 5K, 10K & Kids Fun Run, Cruise for a Cause, Tree of Lights, Cookie Walk, CMH Foundation Gala, CMH Foundation Golf Outing, and support events for Hope for All.
