Information Tech/Help Desk

The position will serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues via phone, email, ticketing system, or in person.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists departments with policies and procedures and training/education for each department.
  • Coordinates employees in computers training/skills needed for their jobs with applications and programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Answers and responds to phone and email Help Desk requests
  • Provide first-tier problem resolution to Help Desk  requests
  • Support includes all clinics, pharmacies, hospital, and specialty clinics.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures regarding the privacy of, and access to, all hospital and patient information.
  • Assist IT Manager to develop staff procedures in technical areas of expertise and provides related professional computer services support and training.
  • Design and implement the Internal Help Desk with the IT team.
  • Assist with coordinating, planning and scheduling system-wide enhancement and modifications with IT team.
  • Assists with local area network equipment, which includes servers, workstation PC’s and printers.
  • Installs programs as directed by IT Manager.
  • Hardware maintenance.
  • Supports various duties within the IT Department including after-hours call

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education, Experience, and Training
a. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) preferred.
b. Prefer associate’s degree or IT Certification.
c. Prefer 2 years’ experience with IT Help Desk.
d. Must have the ability to work with associated technologies relevant to the position.
e. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, needs and solutions with all levels of the organization.
