Observation care is short-term care for patients who need monitoring and evaluation to determine whether continued hospitalization or discharge is appropriate.

Skilled care includes specialized nursing services, rehabilitation therapy, and medical treatments that must be performed or supervised by licensed medical professionals.

Extended or transitional care supports patients who no longer need acute care but are not yet ready to return home. This care focuses on recovery, stability, and preparation for the next stage of healing.

Hospice care is a gentle, supportive type of care for people who are nearing the end of their life. It focuses on keeping you comfortable, easing pain, and helping you feel as peaceful as possible. Hospice also provides support for your family, giving everyone more time to be together. In our Hospice Suite, you can be surrounded by loved ones in a calm, comforting space that honors your dignity and helps you feel cared for every step of the way.

The Compass Memorial Healthcare Hospice Suite was created to provide a comforting, peaceful space for patients receiving end-of-life care. Sponsored by the CMH Foundation, this renovated suite offers a warm and calming environment for patients and their loved ones to spend meaningful time together in their final days.

This project was made possible through generous community support, including over $37,000 in donations and memorial gifts from local organizations, businesses, and residents. Special recognition goes to the Iowa County Community Foundation for their generous $10,000 contribution.
