Dr. Brian Lindsay is a board-certified pulmonologist specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the lungs and respiratory system. His clinical interests include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), sleep apnea, and smoking cessation.
Pulmonology is the branch of medicine dedicated to caring for patients with respiratory conditions involving the lungs and airways. Pulmonologists like Dr. Lindsay work with individuals to manage both acute and chronic breathing disorders, helping patients improve lung function and quality of life.
Dr. Lindsay grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis–St. Paul and attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He went on to earn his medical degree and complete his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Minnesota. In 2011, he moved to Coralville, Iowa, to begin a four-year Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Iowa. After completing his fellowship, he joined UnityPoint Health, where he continues to provide expert care to patients with respiratory and sleep-related conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lindsay enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, playing golf, and spending time outdoors.
