Dr. Joshua Stubblefield is a board-certified family medicine physician and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP). He provides care in both the Emergency Department and inpatient settings.
Originally from Northern California, Dr. Stubblefield earned his undergraduate degree in Medical Microbiology from Brigham Young University, graduating with honors. He attended medical school at Des Moines University and completed his Family Medicine residency at Broadlawns Medical Center, where he later served as a faculty member for seven years. During his time there, he practiced a full spectrum of medicine—including obstetrics, pediatrics, inpatient and outpatient care—while also leading the detox service and dermatology procedures clinic. He has a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine and the patient-centered medical home model.
Dr. Stubblefield has been part of the CMH medical staff for 10 years. He is fluent in Spanish and also speaks some French, Portuguese, and Romanian. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with their nine children, being active in his church, and listening to Latin pop and rock music.
