Sydney Fontinel, DNP, provides comprehensive family medical care for patients of all ages. She serves as a float provider among the Williamsburg Family Medical Clinic, Marengo Family Medical Clinic, and Colonies Family Medical Clinic. She will also serve as an inpatient care provider.
Since joining the Compass Memorial Healthcare team in 2022, Sydney has gained clinical experience in the emergency department, inpatient unit, and oncology-hematology infusion center.
“While working at Compass I fell in love with the organization, rural healthcare, and serving the communities that I have grown up in and that have raised me,” says Sydney.
Sydney earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2026, Master of Science in Nursing with a healthcare advocacy emphasis in 2024, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2023, all from Mount Mercy University.
Providing care to patients throughout their lifespan is a passion of hers. Her clinic interests include managing chronic health conditions, staying current on the latest recommendations and research related to preventive medicine, and emphasizing the importance of both mental and physical health.
A Marengo native, Sydney graduated from Iowa Valley High School in 2019. She now lives in Marengo with her husband, Caden, who is from Victor, and their yellow Labrador Maverick. Outside of work you can find Sydney spending time with her family and friends, running, traveling, and trying new coffee spots.
